Analysis of Clonostachys rosea-Induced Resistance to Tomato Gray Mold Disease in Tomato Leaves
Tomato gray mold disease, caused by Botrytis cinerea, is a serious disease in tomato. Clonostachys rosea is an antagonistic microorganism to B. cinerea. To investigate the induced resistance mechanism of C. rosea, we examined the effects of these microorganisms on tomato leaves, along with changes in the activities of three defense enzymes (PAL, PPO, GST), second messengers (NO, H2O2, O2(-)) an...
متن کاملbiological control of gray mold of three cultivar of strawberry using bacillus strains
in this research, the ability of bacillus strains in suppression of mycelial growth and conidial germination of b. cinerea against botrytis fruit rot of strawberry were evaluated in three cultivars of strawberry including quineliza, paros and kurdistan. results indicated that among 32 strains of bacillus, ten strains showed strong inhibitory effects against b. cinerea using the plate assay and ...
متن کاملDisease Control / Moyens de lutte Biological control of fusarium head blight of wheat with Clonostachys rosea strain ACM941
Fusarium head blight (FHB), caused by Gibberella zeae, is a devastating disease of wheat. A strain of Clonostachys rosea, ACM941 (American Type Culture Collection ATCC 74447), was evaluated for antibiosis against G. zeae in vitro and for control of FHB under greenhouse and field conditions in comparison to the registered fungicide Folicur (tebuconazole). Strain ACM941 reduced mycelial growth of...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Mycoparasite Clonostachys rosea Strain 67-1
Clonostachys rosea is a promising mycoparasite. In this study, we sequenced the draft genome of the highly effective strain 67-1 using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencing platform. The genome is 55.4 Mb with a G+C content of 49.2% and provides a powerful resource for future studies on the molecular mechanisms underlying Clonostachys rosea's antagonism on fungal pathogens.
متن کاملBiological Control of Alternaria Fruit Rot of Chili by Trichoderma Species under Field Conditions
Trichoderma strains were evaluated under field conditions to assay their efficacy in suppressing Alternaria fruit rot disease and promoting chili plant growth. The experiment was conducted at the Botanical Garden, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh from July 2006 to March 2007. Application of Trichoderma harzianum IMI 392432 significantly (p = 0.05) suppressed the disease compared to Alternaria te...
